Probus

Tony Harding – guess where? – Land’s End UK

Mundaring Probus is an association for active retirees who join together to keep their minds active, expand their interests and enjoy friendships.

Mundaring Probus October 14 meeting will feature a presentation from Tony and Sally Harding who will paint a picture of life in modern Britain. Contrary to popular belief they say the sun still shines from time to time in Ol’ Blighty – they will take you through London with all its spring time Royal Baby enthusiasm and the New Forest where cattle, deer, ponies and (on at least one day) the Hardings (and relations) roam free.

You will feast your eyes on Tony and Sally’s graphic and gritty images of life in a small camper van – including real, genuine saucy footage of an all male dancing troupe, proof of the sea parting and much, much more!

Mundaring Probus meets on the second Monday of every month at the Glen Forrest Sports Club. For more information please contact club secretary, Faye Bailey 9295 0215.

  1. You may already be familiar with the concept of Transition. It is an international movement which started in the UK in 2006 and has quickly spread to many parts of the world. It is a positive response to climate change, higher energy costs, possible economic recession and higher food costs. The idea is that communities work together, grow more food, shop locally, use renewable energy and generally live more sustainable life styles (www.transitionnetwork.org). We are starting such an initiative here in Mundaring.

Your group is very much aligned with the Transition movement.

We are planning to launch Mundaring in Transition on April 12th at the Hub. The event runs from 1.00 – 6.00pm. You and all members would be most welcome to attend the event. There are no costs involved although donations will be gratefully accepted. I can send a flyer if you would like one.

If you would like some material displayed please contact us.

    Yours sincerely

    Jim Thom
